I Am Unable To Resolve Anything
This problem occurs when the DNS, which stands for Domain Name System, does not respond and therefore the problem of not being able to resolve anything. A person may send this type of message when he or she encounters this kind of message to a service provider like the program manufacturer of the program such as the Website of Microsoft Corporation. The user should therefore check for the DNS settings. Establish first that it is not the settings that is making or creating the problem first before moving to the next step. If this is the problem, the settings of the DNS in the computer should be configured or reset. The computers network settings should also be configured because the servers for the DNS may all have been broken. The network that is between the DNS servers and the computer could be down or a firewall could be blocking the DNS request or their replies hence the reason for one not to resolve anything.
First of all, a person should look into the DNS troubleshooting by first determining the IP networking is alright other than the DNS condition. This is done on the run by using a command ‘cmd’ and entering ping and giving an address that one recognizes across the internet that one is certain that it is working. The ping is the IP address that is used to test the networking to establish normalcy. An example is commonly ‘c :\> ping 174.546.87.8′ and then it replies to let one know that the network is doing alright. This establishes whether or not the IP address is working properly and if it works, and then this means that there is some networking that is working. If it fails then the cause could be the network. If it works then it could be the DNS problem and then there is the need to troubleshoot the DNS.
To troubleshoot the DNS, a name resolution for DNS is done to know if it works. Like this example, it is done by typing c:\>nslookup Default Server: ns2.attbi.com Address: 174.546.87.8. If the commands that follow thereafter are complete and the DNS works, then some things can at least be resolved. If this fails, then one might be forced to use or try a different DNS server. If this works, it means that the Network is working properly and it is the firewall that is blocking the DNS traffic making one to be unable to resolve anything.
